About the Founder
An Award-Winning Entrepreneur
Stampsfree was founded by award-winning serial entrepreneur Goh
Kim Siew, who is well known in Singapore and Malaysia as the
developer of the CalendarONE.com. This pioneering Internet events calendar
won the 1998 Singapore National IT Award organized by the former National
Computer Board (now IDA) for the Most Innovative Service. Two years later,
CalendarONE.com was cited as one of the top 10 startups in the E50 Enterprise
Award.
Kim Siew’s entrepreneurial journey began in 1992
when he started iD Technologies after spending six years in FairChild
Semiconductor and Seagate Storage as an automation systems manager. In
1997, he sold iD Technologies and made his first cash exit. Recognizing
the business potential of the Internet, he founded CalendarONE.com in
1997 and spent the next five years managing CalendarONE and another events-related
business. He exited CalendarONE in 2001 and took over one of its subsidiaries,
TicketCharge, and managed it for the next four years. In 2006, Kim Siew
sold TicketCharge offices to Singapore and Malaysia, to one of NTUC Singapore's
subsidiaries and a publishing company in Malaysia respectively.
He also founded Primeslot.com, the first interactive
ads banner aggregation company in 1999 which he subsequently sold to China.com,
a Nasdaq company.
In Jan 2009, Kim Siew decided to productise PORTAGY, an application software targetted at
clients who needs to address collaboration, ecommerce-enabled and marketing reach capabilities.
However, instead of just selling it as an application or service, PORTAGY charges clients based on revenues generated and hopes to grow with the clients.

- work and career, education and training, (hobbies and )recreation, and
others.
By connecting together and aggregating these various local
on-line communities, we create global platforms for commerce.

Goh Kim Siew, the company has received S$2 million in seed/venture funding
from SME Bank of Malaysia.
Our on-line communities and marketplaces are based on a powerful city-centric
model with local branding, marketing and content. We achieve this by collaborating
with best-of-breed industry and domain partners to accelerate our speed
to market, and by supporting them with innovative e-marketing strategies
and programs. This is a proven model, and a number of leading travel and
publishing companies has already invested in our niche on-line communities.
StampsFree.com employs 30 IT/business development staff
operating regionally from three offices in Singapore, Malaysia and Shanghai
(China), and through our Shenzen regional office, which covers Hong Kong,
Macau, Shenzen and Guangzhou.
By connecting together and aggregating these various
local on-line communities, we create global platforms for commerce.
